How Long Can Montek Be Taken For Treatment Of Cough?

Hi doctor , i am using montek lc with the sujjetion of doctor , for phlegm and cough , and problem in breath, as i stopped the tablet next again its starting , doctor sujjested me to use only 15 days, shall i continue this or it might show any side effect please tell me

I can understand your concern.
Montek LC is having montelukast and levocetrizine. Montelukast is anti allergic drug and levocetrizine is antihistamine drug. Both are used in allergic conditions.
You are improving with montek LC, so possibility of allergic bronchitis or asthma is more.
And so better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT is must for the diagnosis. It will also tell you about severity of the disease. Along with montek LC, inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) are also beneficial in your case.
And no need to worry, you can continue montek LC. It is safe for long term use.
