How Long Bronchitis And Strep Throat Take To Subside On Using Augmentin?

I am being treated for bronchitis and strep throat. I am on 875mg of augmentin. I have been taking it twice a day for 4 days. I still feel sick, am coughing and generally unwell. I am better, maybe??? But just feel like I should be a lot better by now. Is it possible that I have something more serious? Should I give it more time or go back to the doctor?

Hi,
If your are taking Tab.Augmentin for sore throat and acute bronchitis then its a very good and first choice drug nowadays but the dosage and regimen should be proper.
You should take Tab.Augmenting 625mg every 8 hourly for 5 to 7 days at least rather than 875mg twice a day because its works on concentration gradient. You don't have to understand this but this is the standard treatment with other supportive treatment.
I don't konw whether you yourself taking 875 dosage or your doctor has prescribed but I said earlier is the best treatment for acute bronchitis.
