How Long After Having Missed Period, Pregnancy Test Can Be Taken?

Missed period, negative test.
I am on birth control Necon 1/35 and have been on it for 6 months and never had a problem. Lately I haven't been taking it properly and have had unprotected sex and my period it's now 8 days late I took 2 pregnancy test 4&5 days after I missed my period. I had to start my new pack of birth control yesterday can I take a test in a week or two or what?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion urine pregnancy test gives good results if done after a week of missed period. But as you have taken the pills irregularly there might be some hormonal imbalance leading to irregular period.I suggest you to do the test after a week and if still negative you can consult the gynaecologist for medicines which cause withdrawal bleeding. And then you can start a new course of pills from first day of period.
