Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical examination by your treating Doctor [phlebologist] and do ultrasound to confirm current status.

2)Do exercise, losing weight, not wearing tight clothes, elevating your legs, and avoiding long periods of standing or sitting can ease pain and prevent varicose veins from getting worse.

3)Wear compression stockings regularly and if you have any problem in conservative treatment then go for surgical treatments and it is a minor procedure.

4)Try to eat a high-fiber and low-salt diet

Hope that helps

I have the vericose veins on my right leg from calf to thigh near the knee joint. This has developed during the last two years. My job is desk based and I drive for about 2 to 2.5 hrs everyday to work under traffic jam ( Bangalore) conditions. I am driving 4 wheeler since last 15 years. I am not heavily built. At 52 yrs I am 70 kg and maintaining this weight since last ten years ( + 2 kgs or - 1 kg). No stringent exercises but regular walk of about 8 to 10 kms per week Dr pl let me know how I can get rid of this problem without surgery. As of now it is not paining and I am following routine without any problem so far.
