How Can Vaginal Spotting After Tubal Ligation Be Treated?

I was on the depo shot for several years before having my tubes tied (clamped) two years ago in June. I did not have any type of period while on the shot aside from occasional spotting. I have not had an actual period in many years. I started bleeding about 4 days ago. Heavy at first sight with some clumps. It got lighter to almost nothing a couple days later, but then got some darker. I have been doing this for a few days now. I would think it is stopping then I would see darker blood when wiping. I have only been wearing panty liners, and have not had any of them soaked . I am now 42 (November was my birthday). Any advice on what I need to do?
