Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I ve currently got toothache at the moment and was wondering if it would be okay to take co-codamol while being on the prescribed medication quetiapine 250mg?, I m worried about any interactions as I feel paracetamol/ibroprofen don t seem to help for long. Thanks
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tooth ache which seems to be due to dental abscess which is due to presence of infection. Infection has reached pulp and pressure has built due to inflammation ,which is causing pain. It could be due to minor crack in tooth.I would suggest you to visit dentist/ oral and maxillofacial surgeon once and get it examined completely and start treatment accordingly. You should go for X-ray of that tooth to check if that could be saved, otherwise take proper course of antibiotics and go for extraction. Doctor main also opt optic fiber examination for crack in tooth. Maintain complete hygiene and avoid sharp stick food. You should take Tramadol which is stronger than Ibuprofen along with Azithromycin. Donot worry abiut Ibuprofen which you have taken today. Drink plenty of water after every meal and brush and floss regularly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
