How Can Syphilis Be Diagnosed?
Hello. I had syphiliis in 2016 and I got treated and cured, I might have been exposed to syphilis again about two months ago. How can I know if I have it again? Will the VDRL and TPHA titres increase? I wanted to wait for three months to get tested again. Is 6 weeks enough?

TPHA once positive means, it will be positive for ever during lifetime. Increase in VDRL titre after treatment indicates either inadequate treatment or new infection. During early syphilis (within 2 years) re-infection or super infection is unusual.
