How Can Swollen Ankles Be Treated?

I have swollen ankles. I do have high blood pressure & Heart problems, both are treated with meds. I am unable to get in to see my doctor. I am leaving on vacation. how should I treat this now at home and out of town. What best way to treat this and or if this continues.
