How Can Swelling On The Jaw And Tooth Ache Be Treated?

Hello ,
My 7 year old was climbing over our baby h
Gate and full and hit her jaw line on the chair. She does have a cut and some swelling but only where the cut is. She say he teeth hurt and I had her drink and move her jaw up and down and side to side she can do it should I be worry about the swelling

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain if your child has a swelling at the site of cut it can be due to inflammation of soft tissues at the site of injury/ cut..

If her teeth aches it can be due to injury to the gum and teeth due to injury but not necessarily breakage or fracture of teeth or jawbone..

But as she has pain an evaluation is must and you can consult a Pedodontist and get evaluated and a Panoramic x ray will helo in diagnosis..

As of now you can give her Acetaminophen to relieve pain..
Do cool compresses over the swelling..
Apply antiseptic ointment to prevent infection..
