Fell, hit right arm on floor extremely hard, initially swelling, numbness in fingers and soreness, treated with ice. As swelling decreased large bruising appeared above, below and at elbow. Weakness/lack of strength in arm/hand, pain in turning hand palm down to palm up with pain at wrist as attempted. Soreness/pain in forearm and bicep depending on motion.

Hello,

Pain and numbness or swelling may be due to metacarpal bone injury or nerve compression or vascular bundles injury may aggravate this problem.

Please check it out for any injury to the neurovascular bundle or injury to muscle or bone by x-ray of hand and doppler study.

Consult your orthopedician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
