I have CDDP and in outstanding pain. My ankle is swollen. I did have fluid removed to check for calcium crystals and then had an steroid shot afterwards. I am taken these two meds togather@different times, also taking 500mg.of magnesium&Vitamin D3 2000iu 1time daily. The sulfasalazine EC 500mg I have taken for 1wk,1 .tablet daily. The tramadol HCL 50mg.tab cara. Is 1 tab.every 4-6hrs.(max.6per day) for the pain. Next wk. I take 1 sulfasalazine 2xsdaily for 1wk .My magnesium I would like to on reset to 1000mg.daily.I am soaking my foot 1xdaily,sometimes 2x with about 1 cup of Epsom salt added. I m still in pain and I try to stay off my foot. Ice seems to make the pain worst. My pain clinic dr. had me do a pain patch( butraus) 5mg 3wks.-didn t help, had a rash, tired, and didn t provide any relief. Did physical therapy 2 xs-which made it worse. This has been going on for 3mts.Should I just have an operation? My ankle is worn out(it started in my knee)- this is my right ankle. I had my left hip replaced in 2015 and I still have pain in that(left)Johnson&Johnson-metal on metal. Do you think this might have something to do with my ankle. I m 64,6 1 tall,230lbs.Been active all my life. I water skid barefoot(left foot) when I was younger. I haven t got any pain relief that that has lasted. Took 2 Aleve 20mg gel tablets and it took away a little bit of the pain ,as long as I didn t walk on it. I have ben to a pain clinic, she isn t very personal, more like a #I would rather have my ankle replaced or cut off then try to function like this. It has been unreal to deal with daily life, plowing,soveling,My hobbies which are fixing cars,resroing the ones I m trying to drive.I asked her why can t she give me something that will relieve this stabbing pain and her answer was I don t want to give you what you should have as it s very addicting and we must try everything else(650.00)aready+I haven t got the bill s yet on the appointments yet! Why do I Have to keep drawing what dollars I Don t have on stuff that hasn t work? Is there any HOPE that I can be productive ever again?
