How Can Swelling And Infection On The Little Finger Be Treated?

Hello, 3 days back my mom injured her little finger while cutting beef. It was just a small cut and she didnt care much about it, but after a while it started swelling and there was a yellow liquid discharge... she caught a fever later that night. We went to hospital next day... but the doctor just gave her an oinment called fuciderm , vitamin tablet and paracetamol... She does not have a fever now but the swelling and yellow fluid discharge didnt stop, and it she cant move her finger since it pains a lot... so we went to another hospital ... where they said its a bit too late to take TT but still they gave her the TT injection. they cleaned her wound and dressed it but the swelling or pain does not go down at all... in fact she cant move her hand at all now and the swelling is much bigger now... she is in a lot of pain... what can I do for her..?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my case evaluation, the condition of infection has extended with possible cellulitis stage.
* In our clinic, I admit the patient with this condition for intravenous antibiotics, analgesic, local care of the affected part with antiseptic dressings and close observation.
* According to the progress of the condition, one may or may not require a surgical intervention as well. Do continue to use our medical services.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
