How Can Subchondral Fracture Be Treated?

Hello I was diagnosed with a spontaneous subchondrol stress fracture of medial femoral condyle/sonc on the 30th January. Still waiting for a hospital appointment to find out what I should or shouldn t be doing. Still in a lot of pain. Will this heal on its own and should it take long?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is minor fracture and fractured fragments are not displaced.

As of now you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

Consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. Most probably you will improve with immobilization in a splint. Surgical correction may not be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
