Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The lab would need to determine if there is any bacteria in the stool since pus cells are identified. This would be the only way to determine if an infection is present. She should have started with solids such as puree foods and cereals.Your doctor can advise you how to use them.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
