General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and welcome to `Ask A Doctor` service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

* As per my surgical experience, the infection if related to metal or other foreign body in spine, it has to be removed at earliest without doubts.
* I recommend culture specific antibiotic for a period of 6 weeks, beyond which one should decide for surgery.
* BP control should be with medicine, salt restricted diet, avoidance of stress, sound sleep etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
