Hi,
Without examination, it is difficult to say what it can be precise.
But the most common cause of sores on the sides of the tongue is due to trauma from jagged teeth or sharp teeth.
Another thing is
malocclusion which leads biting of the tongue by teeth. Another but minor possibility is ulcer formation. First of all tell precisely:
- You have any missing tooth in the area
- You have any root stump there.
- You have any sharp tooth on the side.
- You have sore at any other place.
Send a photograph of the area. Your feedback will help to treat it properly. For symptomatic relief try
Kenacort gel containing
triamcinolone acetonide and apply it to the area.
However permanent solution lies to identify the cause and treat that accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
