General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your husband has congestive symptoms, and it can be because of upper respiratory tract infection. For that decongestant, the tablet can be prescribed like levocetrizine or phenylephrine for five days. Avoid excess spicy foods. Saltwater gargle has done with warm water three times a day. Drink lots of water. The antibiotic course prescribed if needed. Investigate with CBC and do auscultation. If auscultation is doubtful, then chest x-ray was done. Consult a physician for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
