How Can Sore Muscles And Stiff Joints Be Treated?

My husband has been taking Seroquel about 2+ months. Dropped dose from 300 to 200 about 10 days ago. He s experiencing sore muscles and stiff joints. Very tired all day too. He sees his Dr this Thurs, in 4 days. Should he cut the 200mg pill in half to 100mg until he sees the Dr on Thurs?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Seroquel is having Quetipine.
It is anti psychotic drug.
It can cause side effects like muscle ache, stiffness, joint pain etc.
So you can definitely stop it if his symptoms are more severe.
He needs another anti psychotic drug which should be devoid of such side effects.
So try to get early appointment with his psychiatrist and start another safer antipsychotic drug.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
