How Can Sinus Congestion Along With Cough And Wheezing Be Treated?

Since mid-November keep getting head colds, sinus congestion, coughing...now wheezing. I ve had antibiotics which helped temporarily. A lot of mucus...taking Mucinex ER 600 Mg. Any thoughts on how to cure the symptoms? It s taking way too long. Linda

You should be evaluated for asthma and chronic bronchitis. Nasal congestion acts as an asthma cause or it can also trigger asthma. Mucinex ER help to thin the mucus for easier clearance. It will not eradicate the cause of the disease. You should consult with your doctor and have pulmonary function test and methacholine challenge tests.

Except antibiotics you can use antihistamines lije desloratadine.
Also rinse nose frequently with saline water.
You also can use decongestants like otrivine.
Ask your doctor if he can prescrib you corticosteroids spry.
