Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had shingles back in August, I am 55 years old. IT was along my rib cage. I just had a bout that I was back in the ER and now it looks like they are coming back. What are my chances that it is shingles again and can I when well again get the shingle shot or not
To say if it is shingles it needs a good physical examination. I would advise you to go and see a physician. If its shingles then you can take one of the antiviral medications for it. Usually shingles are very painful and follows a certain distribution.
Wishing you good health.
Hope it helps,
Regards.
