How Can Severe Pain In The Right Shoulder Be Treated?

I had repaired rotator cuff right shoulder yesterday doctor gave me Dilaudid and Norco Dilaudid for the Breakthrough pain Norco for the chronic pain the nurse said once the block wore off I could take the Norco within 30 minutes if that didn t work take the Dilaudid after that I am assuming I should only be taking the Dilaudid every 6 hours or do I take the Norco in between for the chronic pain? I took the Norco at 6 this morning didn t work took the Dilaudid at 11 the Dilaudid again at 4:30 this afternoon and I m still in terrible pain is it okay to take Norco now?

Hi,

Consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out condition like rotator cuff injury.

As of now, you can take analgesics like Tramadol for pain relief.
