Hi I had a fall yesterday, landed hard on my right shin. Cut up my shin pretty good, was in high level of pain. Iced and elevated, took ibuprofen. When I first stood back up from said fall, felt myself starting to pass out or black out. Had to fight to not faint for 10-15 mins after. As pain from wounds and fall on shin started to go down a bit (from a 10 to say a 7-8) I realized I had pain in my knee and bottom of my leg/top of my ankle (not the ankle joint; just above there). After a few hours of sustained pain, I went to a Partners walk in urgent care. I had very specific pain to the touch at the bottom of my leg/top of my ankle, and a feeling of pressure on that spot. Even when the Dr very gently moved up my pant leg, it caused extreme pain. I dangled my leg off the table because it actually caused more pain to have it up straight on the table. Was X-ray ed at the Urgent Care, X-ray shows no fracture, diagnosed as bone bruise/contusion. 32 hours later at this point, still have same level of pain, pressure, tenderness there, difficulty putting weight on it and walking, general pain even lying down. E.g.: Lying down reached forward to grab my laptop charger without touching or moving my leg caused an increase in pain to that area. Even pulling my sock up to that point causes extreme pain. At what point or given what symptoms should I go back and have it looked at again or maybe looked at differently? I usually have a high pain tolerance, but am in an extreme amount of pain.
