Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have dextroscoliosis as well as congenital fusing of my l4 and l5. I experience pain through my lower back on a regular basis and the pain can be quite severe depending on the activities I do during the day. I have tried acupuncture and physiotherapy but they only seem to provide relief for a day or so.. Is there a surgical procedure to fix this or any other suggestions?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hello,
You should consult an orthopaedic surgeon as there is a definite surgery for scoliosis. Start sleeping on a hard bed, maintain proper posture while sitting, standing etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Varinder Joshi , General & Family Physician
