How Can Severe Pain In The Legs, Knees And Hips Be Treated?

I have a friend who has had spinal surgeries twice. The lower spine has metallic fixtures to keep it aligned--I guess. She has excruciating pain that that is disabling to her. Some nerves were burned to cut off pain to the bladder and inside the legs but the nerves above which lead to the pain of the hip, leg, knee, and foot primarily on the left side went untouched. The burning was to last as a pain reliever for up to 6 months and while bladder discomfort may be improved, the hip, lower back, left knee, hip, and leg is worse. Will acupuncture help do you think? The squalling is causing me PAIN! Thank you.

Hi,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopedics and get evaluated. An MRI scan is required for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
