How Can Severe Pain In The Legs Be Treated?

My son is 16, healthy, strong.. about 6 0 and 185. He plays football and has a healthy appitite. Has no other health issues. He had mono in March and seemed to recover pretty quickly. Around the beginning of August he started to complain of being tired all the time and saying his legs hurt and were achy. He starts on the varsity football team and practices 5 days a week. He is in great physical condition, but complains of always being tired and that he feels it takes him 3-4 days to recover from a football game. SO,. I took him to his physician to get a panel of blood taken. They tested for thyroid, liver and kidney levels, calcium and iron and it all came back normal. He is feeling pretty down and frusterated. We have tried all natural supplements, magnesium, epsom salt baths, ice baths for his legs... Any suggestions???
