General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The duration of action for the drug that have prescribed for you will take 2-3 hours to act. If your pain is not subsided yet then you need to change the drug as it is not much effective for you. I suggest you to switch over

1. T.Hifenac D BD (twice daily after food) for 3 days and apply Diclofenac gel
2. T.Pantop 40 mg BD (twice daily before food) for 3 days, until you see your orthopedics for recheck.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
