How Can Severe Pain In The Buttocks And Behind The Legs Be Treated?

I am having extreme pain in my buttocks and in the back of my legs. I cannot walk in an upright position. On Tuesday, I went to a Med Express(I just arrived in Myrtle Beach for 3 months). The Dr. could see that my back was spasming. I am on Flexeril and painkillers. The Dr. recommended a massage. I did that this afternoon. Very little improvement. What next?

Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
pain In back of legs & buttocks seems to be involvement of tendon or muscles surrounding hip joint... the spasms can follow either of the conditions. You would be alright with present plan of treatment &rest.
In case there is no relief within 10-15 days... t can be due to nerve irritation at number spinal level .. treatment with orthopaedic surgeon
Thanks
