How Can Severe Pain Around An Injection Site Be Treated?

I had a injection for pain injected in the upper frt of my leg . now I am in terriable pain where the injections was done. this was done in the emergency room due to I had a kidney stone lodge sideways and was waiting to go for surgery . what should I do ? YYYY@YYYY
