Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

I haven't had any patients who had pain relieved by back surgery and some that are quite worse off.

Physical therapy might take longer, there is TENS of units, acupuncture, massage, and narcotics (last resort!).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
