How Can Severe Fatigue Be Treated?

i was recently diag ed 6-22-17 with ms, I feel better after ampyra and steriod fusion, but i can t get past the chronic fatigue. 1 minute on tread mill = no problem 3 minutes and i get too tired to continue, Lay ing down exercises are no problem, but any upright activity like walking feels the end of a marathon. also feels like a leaky spinal tap without the neck pain and just the fatigue. For tiredness an energy drink helps, but for ms fatigue who knows. are there any Ampyra like medicines that specifically target ms fatigue?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, the tiredness you are experiencing is due to multiple sclerosis and I would advise you to go lightly on the exercises, as it can be triggered by any event.

Hope it helped.
