How Can Severe Diarrhea And Fever In A Child Be Treated?
Hello doc, my son 5+ age is having loose motions since yesterday,we gave him cipla syrup based medicine. He is also getting high fever we both shivering., We have combiflame 10ml. Fever comes and goes with headache. Loose motions still on. Kindly guide

It may be acute gastroenteritis. Kindly continue antipyretic medication. Along with the that he may require antibiotics to control loose motion. Kindly consult with pediatrician to check hydration. Keep him hydrated. Give hygienic food and water. Do cold sponging. You can give him syrup Mefenamic acid and syrup Ondensetron after consultation.
