Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The 8 months long scalp infection does not sound to be normal. It requires an intensive evaluation of the underlying cause such as diabetes, fungal, bacterial infection or other.

I would request to consult another skin specialist immediately for a proper line of management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
