How Can Runny Nose Be Treated While Suffering From A Heart Disease?

Got out of hospital a month ago. Had heart attac, am AFib, had internal bleeding, kidneys and liver shut down , was on dialasis, died. Then came back. Feel good considering but now have a cold. Was told not to take acetaminophen, ibuprophen, or asprin because i am takeing...Daltiazem HCL 30 MG, zestril 5 Mg, carvedilol 125 MG, Eliquis 5Mg, Lipitor 40 MG. Wondering if there is anything i can take for a cold. Nose runny and stopped up. Feel like i have feaver. ?????

Hello,

Medication like Acetaminophen, ibuprofen or aspirin are used only for pain or fever, they do not have any effect on nasal congestion (runny nose).

If upon measuring body temperature, it is higher then you can take Acetaminophen, it doesn't add to the effect of Eliquis (like Ibuprofen or aspirin) and can be safely taken, in my opinion. As for nasal congestion topical decongestants and antihistamine medication can be taken.
