How Can Rosacea On The Nose And Cheeks Be Treated?

Hello, I have rosacea and have been using Metro cream for years and seemed to keep it in check. However recently, I have been having flare ups, large red spots which turn to white heads, on my nose and cheeks. My doctor prescribed Doxycycline monohydrate 100 mg. As soon as I stopped taking it started right back up. My doctor is out of the office until June so I ask you, is it ok to continue to take the Doxycycline for two more refils? Are there other drugs available? Thanks you, Christine S
