How Can Rosacea Be Treated?

If I have had true allergic reactions to penecillin, macrobid, erythromycin, and even Keflex, do you think I might have a reaction to doxycycline? I have at age 70 been diagnosed with rosecea (spelt wrong) and have been prescribed this for my condition. Thank you

Hi,

There is no cross reaction between penicillin and doxycycling , so it may be safe to use in such patients ; however the possibility cannot be ruled out. So in would advise you should start with very low dose and only increase if you could tolerate it .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
