Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Recently I have been having problems with elimination, both urine & feces. I dont strain & have not felt a tearing of the anus. However, with every trip to the bathroom,a large blob or section of bowel drops out.It is excruciating.I have to clean with baby wipes around the protrusion.I use a small amount of Prep H to assist the shrinking of the bowel. It is getting worse. There are 2 stages to the bowel going back inside. This is misery for me.Sometimes,it takes a long time for it to reenter. There are more frequent episodes of sudden lose of bowel movement shortly after I ve cleaned up. I have tried to keep track of things eaten that may be related to the incontinence. I really don t think this is a hemorroid.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You might require surgical correction of the prolapsed portion of the rectum. You can opt for laparoscopic rectopexy. Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
