How Can Pressure Sores On The Heels After Ankle Surgery Be Managed?

Hi there, Im about 3 weeks post op from ankle surgery. And when I went in to the surgeon for my 2 week check up I showed them a pressure sour I was developing on my heel. It’s now the 3rd week, pressure is off that area and it’s not gone away. It’s turned purple. Please help, I’m freaking out.

Hello.

The pressure sore heals as the pressure is removed from the area. Due to poor blood circulation, it can take some time to heal. Doing some hot compress can help in healing and improving blood circulation.
