Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In my opinion, you should use i-pill or e-pill (emergency contraceptive pill) within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse to prevent pregnancy. I would also like to advise you to use regularly one of the following birth control measures as per your convenience:

- oral pills

- intradermal birth control patches

- injectable contraceptives

- condom (used by your partner)

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Suraj Khandhedia
