How Can Persistent Foot Pain Be Treated?

My foot has been in pain since February, and I googled the location it is the shoulder on my left foot. I have gone to a doctor and have had x rays, but the only information that I have received back is that they do not see anything wrong and to take aspirin. It hurts when i walk and it is even a dull pain just by standing at most times. I have become accustomed to this pain so it isn t holding myself back from day to day activities or such, but when I work out or walk, I definitely notice the pain much more. Running is almost impossible for me to even do comfortably. What is wrong?
