How Can Periods Be Delayed?

My daughter is nearly 13 and has not started her periods yet. She is having usual signs that may indicate she will start very soon. We are going abroad for 2 weeks and I m worried they ll start whilst away. Is there any medication she could take making sure her holiday is not spoiled by the arrival of her first period?

Better not to delay first cycle.
Hormone pills are available for delaying menstrual bleeding. But hormonal imbalance is very common after such pills.
So better to avoid such complications during her first menses. This will create more complications afterwards.
So better to have first menses naturally .
