General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic! Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern. The causes for pain in bottom of toe. Seems to be due to repeated trauma/strain to the joint at base of toe. Following repeated hit to toe. Less blood calcium, vitamin D in blood would add to the pain. Management would be by taking rest, supplementing calcium & vitamin D, anti-inflammatory drug like Ibuprofen over the counter. For 10 days after food. In case there is no relief. Consult a physician for more specific investigations & treatment.
Hope this clarifies your concerns. Thank you for the query.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
