How Can Pain In The Right Foot Be Treated?

I have a very sore right foot. It is located midway between the heel and the little toe, on the outside of the foot. It feels like a heavy bruise occurred. like it was hit. I have high blood sugar and take one pill in the morning for this high blood sugar. I can not recall injuring the foot. It has been on going for about two months. Any ideas?
