How Can Pain In The Penis Be Treated?

Hello, About 2 weeks ago I woke up and had pain in my penis. I thought I slept on it funny or something. Over the next couple of days I realized it was a small patch of skin on my circumcision scar that seems to be very painful to a light touch. It is not red or swollen in any way. I put a little cream with 4% lidocaine on it and that seems to help. Strong pressure does not hurt, only light rubbing. What should I do.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your description it seems like a small sore or an abrasion. Apply topical ointments like Neosporin on the affected area after washing with soap and water.
If symptoms persist, consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Wishing you a good health.

Thanks
