How Can Pain In The Knees Be Treated?

Tripped and fell about 8 months ago. One knee took the hit and healed except for what seems like tendin damage in back of knee. No problem while walking but hurts like hell getting up from a seat especially if leg was folded under chair. Should I see a regular Orthopedic spec or a sports medicine specialist?

Hello,

Knee hit injury may cause damage to the meniscus or anterior cruciate ligament or posterior cruciate ligament. Until examination, it is difficult to say what part of the knee injury.

Please take rest, use heat or cold compressions. Use tablet Lyser D  twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your orthopedician he will take an x-ray of the knee and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
