How Can Pain In The Hips On The Left Side Be Treated?

I m a male age 65, mild cholesterol and taking medication for that. 5 10, 175 lbs. Sit down job but exercise regularly every noon time. Last couple of months have a pain when I bend forward or squat for any more than a minute on my left hip and above the hip in my side back to front, difficulty straightening out, not constant but frequent. Thought it was muscular but doesn t seem to go away and in fact seems to be getting more severe.

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear pain in the hip may be due to arthritis or labrum injury, few patients may be due to avascular necrosis.

Back pain may be due back muscle spasm or lumbar spondylosis.

Don't do exercise with pain it may aggravate, take rest for few days and use cold or hot compression.

please consult your orthopedician he will examine and advice x-ray of lumbar spine and hip joint , will treat you accordingly.

Take care
