How Can Pain In The Chest After An Injury Be Treated?

I was involved in a car accident. I went to the ER the next day and was diagnosed with a deep wall chest contusion. They said it could anywhere from 4-6 weeks before it s completely healed. I m still having some issues with laying on my stomach. If I do, my chest still feels sore and aches. Is that normal?
