How Can Pain And Inflammation In The Mouth Be Treated?

Hi, my daughter was out on a night out last Sat and was drinking shots, and ever since, the back of her mouth is inflamed and painful to the point she can hardly drink fluids or eat. Do you think it is due to the alcohol consumption and what can she do to ease it? Thank you

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like you are suffering from stomatitis that is inflammation inside mouth and can cause redness, pain and soreness..

If you took too much alcohol then it can cause irritation of the mucosa of mouth and throat making it sore and inflamed..

So my suggestion is to start gargling with numbing mouthwash containing Lidocaine..
Gargling with Dexamethasone mouthwash can also help in reducing inflammation and soreness.
Do warm saline gargles and take anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.
Start taking Vitamin B complex supplements..
In case if there is no improvement then consult an Oral Physician and get evalauted..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
