How Can Osteoarthritis In The Joints And Lower Back Be Treated?

I have osteoarthrtis in my facet joints in my lower back. Hydrocodone isn t working very well. I have GERD so I can not take NSAIDs. What could I ask the pain specialist for help? The cortisone injection did not work. Please help me to know what to ask my specialist. I need to lose about 50 pounds but it is not budging. HELP!!! I am in really bad pain most of the time.
