I have been in 4th stage liver disease as a result of Hep C for 2 years. I have been through treatment twice (pegetron and inferon) and failed to eradicate disease. I have other health problems that are mostly joint related . I only take prescription thyroid 100mcg, lactulose 3 tbls with juice and rifaxamin 2x daily. I take a prenatal multi vit., D3, Super B, Calcium, magnesium, zinc, kelp, Co Q 10, Milk Thistle, Evening primrose oil, selenium, papaya enzyme, probiotic, ginger root, L lyseine. I eat only fruits and vegetables and their juices, almond milk, distilled water, dandelion root tea, chamomile tea, peppermint tea. Brown rice, oatmeal, cornmeal, mild salsa, honey and stevia for sweetner, no spices, meat, dairy etc. Is there anything else I can do? I have already saved my own life-I feel great and have a v. positive outlook. No pain but a twinge on occasion in my liver area. I do suffer from gas but I take each day and listen to my body and what it can eat for the day. I research everything but I started out years ago with the book Prescription for nutritional healing . I have barley at home to prepare for sipping. Suggestions please on how I can continue to save my own liver and kidneys...
