How Can One Overcome The Habit Of Masturbation?

Hi Doctor, I am 39 years old married, i have habit of masturbation, i do masturbation in the early morning every day. After that whole day i feel very week, confusion in mind, not to take any positive action, feeling depression, pain in legs, drinking 14-15 cups of tea every day, feeling nervousness etc. What to do. I want to get rid of this habit . Pl. help?

Masturbation is a natural body process just as need to eat, sleep.There is a lot of stigma associated with masturbation.Do not feel guilty about it.

Masturbation has no side effects on your physical , mental and sexual health. The frequency should be such that it does not affect your work, family life. Do not get obsessed with it in short.

If masturbation is affecting that you do not feel the need to have sex with your partner or unable to ejaculate by normal vaginal sex then it needs to be looked into as it borders into obsession.

To reduce the practice, stop watching adult video/magazines ,concentrate on your work /family more and exercise daily. This will help.
